11 MEMBER CHURCHES TRANSFORMING LIVES AND COMMUNITIES IN THE NAME OF CHRIST

Transformation. We use that word a lot. What does it mean to a Christian? What does it mean to a person in need who may or may not know Jesus Christ?

I had an amazing conversation with a relatively young believer today. He’s 23. He knows who he is. His heart is the Lord’s. His thoughts are the Lord’s. I was so encouraged to be able to connect with such an amazing man who loves everyone well. And he’s young! I can’t imagine the possibilities for his life as he grows and matures, as he transforms more and more into the likeness of Christ. Will he have hard times and hit walls in his faith and walk? I hope so. If he doesn’t, if somehow he is able to be “saved” from adversity by well-meaning parents (I don’t think this will happen) or a well-meaning church (this won’t happen either) he’ll grow into what I like to call a “jellyfish”. No spine for Christ. No backbone to handle what inevitably comes in all of our lives at one time or another.

The same goes for the people we have been put here to serve; those in need. If we really want to see lives transformed, we must allow for God’s transformative work to be accomplished. This is never easy to watch, let alone be a part of. It’s painful, but this is how He transforms all of us. It’s while we are in the valley that we grow, not the mountaintop. We must trust the Lord as we walk alongside people in need, always connecting and pointing to the only One who has the true answers.

So as we wrestle with God on how we are to come alongside those in need in ways that transform, let us come together in discussion and prayer seeking the Lord in what this looks like. He loves our unity, seeking His face, to help His people. And in true God-style, we are transformed as well.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Rejoice – 3 new partner churches!

We also started our first 8 week online and in-person Redemptive Compassion course! 4 different churches are being represented. We are really looking at and praying about how the Lord might want us to love those in need, and ultimately everyone, as He loves them.

Our Mission – To mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.

In His Service,

Freddi Woodford

Here is a beautiful Love Story, one picture of how God connects His people.

I had the privilege of speaking to one of our partner churches a few months ago. A man came to our Love INC table afterwards, offering his gift of organization to a client in need. I kept him in the back of my mind. We then got a client with many needs due to a serious brain injury from a car accident. She needed the body around her to help her move forward. Our Connect Center Coach helped her in different ways. She needed help to organize her home and finances with simple systems she could later follow. I reached out to the amazing man who had such gifts and he agreed to go into her home to help her. We involved another person in the body to go with him to help our client. It worked out well for all three of them!

How are you gifted and what can you bring to the table? Nothing is too small in the eyes of the Lord. Any problem or issue in our community has a solution and it lies in the Body of Christ. This is what He put His Body here for, to help each other!

Pray about what you have to offer. The Church is waiting to be mobilized to help. Some of us know it and are doing it. Some of us realize we can do it and should do it and we are waiting for the opportunity. Some of us don’t see our inherent value in the Kingdom yet, but we will if we seek His face.

The Connect Center – the Heart of Love INC

Our Connect Center is strong! This is where all client interaction and connection takes place. It only exists because of volunteers from the Body.

What does one of these amazing Connect Center Coaches and Intake Volunteers look like? They are called by God to learn how to go deeper with His hurting people. They may have a lot of previous experience, they might not have any experience, just that call.

What does a Connect Center Volunteer have to know? They must know the Lord as their Savior. Everything else can be taught! They must be walking in relative freedom themselves so they can help in leading others to that same freedom in Christ.

Does this interest you? We contact our clients weekly, remotely over the phone to coach, guide, connect, and pray. All of this is done with a lot of supervision and training. It is an extremely rewarding volunteer position that is greatly needed.

Please contact us if God is calling you!

We have 3 new partner churches!

Lighthouse Community Church in Dania Beach, with Pastor Greg Kritz

New Season Christian Church in Hallandale Beach, with Pastor David Araujo

Kingdom Collaborators in Hollywood, with Pastor Jose Fontanez

We are very excited to be building relationships with these new churches as we work together to transform lives and communities in the Name of Christ!
